Everyone is welcome to practice this form of silent prayer of the heart, which deepens and enriches other forms of Christian prayer.  It is rooted in the Christian tradition following the example of Jesus, and practised by the early Christian monks, the Desert Fathers and Mothers, who taught the simple discipline of the “prayer of one word”, or mantra.   We listen to a short recorded talk about the tradition and meaning of Christian mediation, and then meditate silently for half an hour. This is a type of prayer without thought, words or images, believing that God is within us. Join us to see what it is all about!
